Services

At the speechie’s classroom, we provide tailor-made, mobile speech pathology services in a setting that suits your child best. We travel to homes, schools, preschools, and early learning centres to support children in familiar and comfortable environments. These settings provide opportunities to partner with families, educators, and support teams to assist children in using their communication skills throughout daily activities and routines.

We provide speech pathology services for children aged 12 months - 12 years in the following areas of communication development:

Articulation therapy helps children learn to pronounce sounds more clearly so their speech is easier to understand. We support children through fun, engaging activities that teach how to move their lips, tongue, and mouth to make sounds correctly and clearly.

Articulation

We support young children in developing the building blocks of communication, such as understanding language, saying their first words, putting words together into sentences, and learning to take turns in conversation. Our therapy is play-based, interactive, and personalised to suit each child’s stage of development.

Early Language

Receptive and expressive oral language therapy helps children understand and use spoken language more effectively. Receptive language is about understanding what others say, like following instructions or understanding stories. Expressive language is about using words and sentences to share thoughts, needs, and ideas.

Oral Language

We support children in building the skills they need for meaningful and positive social connections, such as making friends, taking turns, understanding emotions, and using body language. Our therapy focuses on each child’s strengths and respects their individual social style.

Social Communication

We assist children to develop reading and writing skills so they can succeed at school and in everyday life. We use a systematic, synthetic phonics approach to build skills required for reading, writing, and spelling.

Literacy

We work closely with parents and caregivers to boost their confidence in supporting their child’s communication at home and during daily routines. By providing practical strategies, modeling, and coaching, we help you integrate therapy into everyday life, recognizing that you are your child’s most important communication partner.
